Guidelines for the Sacred Music Ministry

To provide a clear understanding of the identity, mission, liturgical principles, and organization of our music ministry, the Sacred Music Office has issued this official reference document.

These guidelines offer a unified vision for all who wish to serve our community through sacred music across Divine Mercy Parish.

What You Will Find in the Guidelines:

• Identity and Mission: The role of sacred music in the liturgical life of the Church and the ecclesial service of music ministers.
• Formation and Preparation: Commitment to musical excellence, personal preparation, and ongoing liturgical-spiritual formation.
• Roles and Service: Principles governing participation, discernment, choir admissions, and service expectations.
• Organization and Practical Norms: The choral year schedule, liturgical attire, stewardship of musical resources, and collaboration across our worship sites (St. Andrew, St. Maria Goretti, and St. William).
