Sacred Music at Divine Mercy Parish
The musical tradition of the universal Church is a treasure of inestimable value, greater even than that of any other art.
Sacrosanctum Concilium, No. 112Worship, Beauty, and Prayer through Sacred Music
At Divine Mercy Parish, our mission is to become faithful, fruitful disciples ourselves, inviting others to the joy of knowing and following Jesus Christ. Integral to the vitality and ongoing formation of all parishioners and visitors who walk through our doors is worship that lifts hearts and minds to God through beautiful, reverent, and joyful sacred music.
Uniting the worship sites of St. Andrew, St. Maria Goretti, and St. William, our parish seeks to cultivate a unified Sacred Music Ministry in which each choir and minister contributes according to their gifts and pastoral needs. All who contribute to our musical life through their varied roles and expertise share the same dignity within this musical ministry, called to offer their gifts with humility, dedication, and a spirit of ecclesial service to enhance the beauty and dignity of divine worship.
“Integral to the vitality and ongoing formation of parishioners and visitors who walk through our doors is worship that lifts hearts and minds to God through beautiful, reverent, and joyful sacred music” (Guidelines for Sacred Music Ministry, Divine Mercy Parish – Sacred Music Office, September 2026).
