First Holy Communion
In addition to regular faith formation in Family Catechesis or SMG school, this preparation involves activities for the family, parents, and student. The primary aim of sacramental preparation is to ensure that students approaching the sacraments are suitably instructed and properly disposed.

Enrollment in SMG School
- No registration needed, will receive information during school’s religion class
- No fees, included in school tuition
Enrollment in Family Catechesis – See Youth Formation Overview
- Attend monthly sessions
- Pay Family Catechesis Fees and Sacramental Fee
First Reconciliation Preparation (September-December)

- Family Adoration (30 minutes per month, September-December)
- Family Church Scavenger Hunt at St. Maria Goretti or St. Andrew – Complete Catholic Church Scavenger Hunt Worksheet
- Family Service – Complete Student Service Reflection Worksheet

- Complete Signs of Grace Curriculum
- First Reconciliation Interviews (December)
- First Reconciliation will be available to families in the month of December
